OK, now you are self-motivated how do you keep motivated? Trying to keep motivated can be tough even under the best of circumstances. How is it possible you might ask??
Motivation is not magic, however by following these steps you can achieve it:
- Set a goal and visualize it down to the smallest detail
- Make a list of the reasons you want to accomplish your goal
- Break down the goal into smaller pieces and set target and rewards
- Have a strategy or plan, but be prepared to change course
- Get the help needed. Never be afraid to ask for help
- Think about how you might deal with low motivation.
- Continually think back on why you set this goal and what you want to achieve
Always look at the bigger picture and remind yourself that you are in charge!! If in doubt think back at what you have already achieved.
